Kpop: Korean Popular music: Western pop music, rock, Experimental, Jazz, Gospel, Hip Hop, R&B, Electronic Dance, Classical, and Japanese pop music on top of its uniquely Traditional Korean Music roots.

Kpop is the ever growing music all around the world. It started in the late 80's early 90's with a boy group called Seo Taiji and the boys during a MBC talent show. In the early 90's the top three companies came to be SM entertainment, YG entertainment

and JYP Entertainment. With companies like that forming other companies soon followed in the late 90's and early 2000's.

Kpop has become big in the west in the last 6 years. With K-con starting in LA and New York City since 2012. With this being started groups like Big Bang, Twice, BTS, EXO, Stray Kids(A new Group came last year), f(x), Got7 and VIXX all came to K-con since the start and have performed, appeared at panels for fans. With that it allows International fans the ability to see their favorite groups they wouldn't be able to see

While more and more groups are becoming popular like Got7, BTS and EXO they are starting to do more tours internationally. Where fans not only in The States (And Korea) will get the ability to see their favorite artist/Idol perform. Not just those three groups have done/are doing or planning world tours other groups have done them as well like Red Velvet, Monsta X, Big Bang, NCT, Day6, Seventeen, 2am, 2pm and TVXQ!. But not only do these artist/Idols go on tour and have concerts they also practice dancing, write new songs, spend time with friends and family and do trips with their group.

Even though they are these big artist now but they all had to go through a process to get where they are now. Auditions. They all had to audition to get into the company they are in now. Some of the artist may have auditioned one-time, other multiple times or some where recruited by the company. While the artist is now in said company they now have to sign a contract to determine how long they will stay in the company. After they have their contract signed they will go through a training period just like anyone else that has signed with the company. The amount of time that they train is unknown and can change at anytime. They might train only for 2 months or more than 5+ years before and thats if they even debut.

With training periods they have to work on dancing, songs and even their physical appearance. While some companies work on physical appearances like getting plastic surgery for the artist to improve their looks. There are companies that don't require surgery to look better but they will make you work on their Korean (Not idols are from Korea), Change their hair and lose body weights, they will work-out from the time they are asked to stop or they collapse from exhaustion. Their body Appearance is important in all the companies as well as their ability to date.

Many companies put a ban on dating because of their schedules and fans. Although some companies don't have dating bans on idols that have debuted after so many years. There are companies that ban dating not only during the training period and the early debut stage that ban it all together under that said company. Although some fans think that this isn't fan there are other fans who don't mind that their favorite idol can't date. What do you think is the dating ban is fair?

There is so much that one could write about with K-pop. Whether it be the good and happy side or the dark and mystery side. Idols are human and a lot stronger than some people give them credit for. They train, write new songs not only for an album with the group they are in but a sole album too, shoot MV's and silly shows for their fans too. Props to all the artist that are trying their hardest right now. Remember their humans and having feelings just like us show them love and no hate!
