Invader Zim is a show that came out in the early 2000’s and ended after 2 seasons. It started March 30, 2001 on Nickelodeon. It was on air for ten years allowing our generation to watch it at the age we are influenced the most especially if we had an older sibling.

Invader Zim is a show about an extraterrestrial named Zim from the planet Irk. Where his job is to conquer Earth and Enslave the human race. With his robot that was built from trash Gir who is supposed to help him on this mission. They had while being antagonized by Dib, a young investigator of the Paranormal who is determined to stop Zim and to show everyone he isn’t human. Having a show like this shows that even when there are people who think that just because someone else isn’t like them they tell people don’t listen to them or trust them. Making the people look like an outcaste a lot like Dib is doing to Zim through the entirety of the show.

These shows weren’t all on Nickelodeon, such as Invader Zim, they were also on Cartoon Network, and Disney Channel. These shows are being rebooted for Modern Audiences, The Allure of Comfort, and Emotional Connection with an audience. Although there are shows similar to Invader Zim that also show that it’s okay to make someone feel like an outcast and make them feel like they can ever amount to anything.

As the show goes on they bring up more ways that this can affect people in our generation especially how we react towards issues that could affect our everyday lives. The show makes fun of the idea if you don’t have any friends then you aren’t human. The show has done various things to tease other things that kids do now. This isn’t the only show that influenced various generations. Shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog, Kim Possible, and Danny Phantom are shows that some some high schoolers grew up watching.

This is a show that kids should watch at the end because it might show bullying is okay which it isn’t. It is showing things that a kid shouldn’t do because it is mean but it affected high schoolers today by showing just that. Teenagers might not be able to tell you exactly how what they watched affected them as a kid but you can see on how they act. Everyone has their click and these groups/clicks either try to bully others or try to make friends with other groups so that they don’t have to deal with bullying. It’s a show from 2001 that you need to buy or watch online but in the end it really is up to the child and the parents if they want to watch this show and other shows.
