LGBT Pride: Positive stance against discrimination and violence toward Lesbians, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people to promote their self-affirmation, dignity, equality, rights, increase their visibility as a social group and gender variance.
Pride month is the entire month of June and it Celebrates the LGBTQIA community. The month of June was dedicated to the commemoration of the Stonewall Riot that happened in 1969. The Stonewall Riot was started after a police raid at the Stonewall Inn which is a gay bar in Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan, New York City. After the Riots happened the first pride parade that happened was the following year on June 28, 1970 which started in Greenwich Village and was lead to Sheep meadow in Central Park. Various cities and countries held their own pride parades.
Since 1970 over 35 countries in the world have held parades, celebrations, events, walks, festivals. Since then over 29 countries have legalized same sex marriage.

Although these places have since legalized the marriages there are places in these countries and in countries that the marriages aren’t legal they have Conversion Therapy. Conversion Therapy: The pseudoscience practice of trying to change an individuals sexual orientation from homosexual or bisexual to heterosexual using psychological or spiritual interventions.
